Ingredients

  • 1 bag Hint of Habanero Protein Tortilla Chips, 1 bag Sea Salt Protein Tortilla Chips - 1/2 cup for coating, remainder for dipping
  • 1 block cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped pickled jalapeños
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 cup bacon bits, divided
  • 1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup marble cheddar cheese, shredded (substitute with Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, or walnuts)

Pre-game plan: make this, then watch it vanish. This Football Cheese Snack is creamy, cheesy, a little spicy (hello, pickled jalapeños), and coated in a crunchy bacon-nut-chip “jersey.” Shape it like a football, drop it on a platter, and let our Protein Tortilla Chips do the scooping.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add cream cheese, pickled jalapeños, green onion, half the bacon bits, white cheddar cheese, marble cheese, and garlic powder.

  2. Mix until well combined.

  3. Shape the mixture into a ball.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine remaining bacon bits, chopped nuts, and 1/2 cup crushed Protein Tortilla Chips. (You can use both flavours or one!)

  5. Roll the cheese ball in the coating mixture until fully covered.

  6. Shape into a football and serve with your remaining Sea Salt and Hint of Habanero Protein Tortilla Chips.
